Our bespoke work at LOKI PATERA extends the same philosophy that underpins the studio — jewellery as an amuletic vessel for memory, protection, and personal mythology. Each commission is approached as a collaborative process; between wearer and maker, symbolism and materiality.
Objects become wrapped in story. They are carried with us through time, gifted to lovers, prayed to, and passed on to our kin. Little carriers of our past and vessels for our tomorrow.
Handmade in Australia from recycled precious metals using traditional and experimental techniques, these pieces are created slowly and intentionally as future heirlooms.

FAQs
The metals we work with are: 925 sterling silver, 9ct gold (yellow, rose or white), 14ct yellow gold, 18ct gold (yellow, rose or white), and platinum. All of these choices are 100% recycled precious metals, refined & tested.
For gems we love to work with Australian stones from small scale miners and fossickers: i.e. Sapphire, Zircon, Torrington Emerald, Diamond etc. We are also open to sourcing other gemstones, as well as using upcycled and heirloom stones.
Additionally if you would like to use an experimental material, such as a custom technofossil, a fragment of an antique brooch or ancient glass, please start the conversation.
This depends on the complexity of the piece and how long it needs in the design stage.
For example, when making an engagement ring – if you have the correct ring size and we have decided on a gem and style then the making process will likely take around 4-5 weeks before it is ready to ship.
If the design is experimental or you would like to see multiple options for gems and materials, this can add several weeks of research and communication to the lead time.
All pieces up to a value of AUD 5,000 are fully insurable with Australia Post (Domestic). If you would like to insure your bespoke piece during shipping, this extra fee ($10 - $100 based on value) will be added to the shipping cost.
For pieces above $5000, we can arrange a different courier which allows a higher insurance value, so you can rest easy while your bespoke piece is being transported to you.
